Avini Coaching for Business and Healing
I learned in my agility class with Bridie last week that I was doing a "point and shoot" method for running her, and giving commands. Not good.
It sounds terrible, and it came out looking choppy. My trainer said I was using too many extra words, confusing Bridie, and losing my connection to her. Agility is supposed to be smooth and flowing - almost like a dance.
Fortunately, I've had both experiences so I know what choppy feels like, and I also know what smooth and flowing feels like in agility.
On the drive home I got to thinking about how we live our lives. Was what I just learned in agility more profound? Could it be applied to Life, Health, and Business?
Absolutely.

The opposite of Point-and-Shoot, in life, health, and business is all about being in the flow. Learn the signs of Point-and-Shoot on our Heart to Heart Coaching this week. It's so obvious now that I see clearly what I've been doing wrong. We'll uncover ways to get you into the flow for:
LIFE

Point and Shoot or Flowing?
What my trainer meant was that I was overthinking each step of the course rather than flowing naturally from one step to another. I hesitated, and Bridie picked up on that.
In life, health, and business we want to eliminate hesitation; reactive behavior that makes us point and shoot. What we really want is a lifestyle that feels natural and flowing. What comes to mind is this example:
What might you do for a persistent headache? Take a pill of some sort? A pain reliever? What if instead you took a moment to breathe, have a glass of water, and went outside to destress? More often than not, we can help the body heal with simple steps that support destressing, hydration, and energy flow.
In business, it's a good idea to maintain a flow of communication with clients and customers. Check in often to see how they're doing. I have to admit, I have a long way to go. I get caught up in lots of distractions rather than stay in the flow.
