A Shift Toward Natural Wellness
My life was about to change twenty five years ago when my husband came home from a trade show with 2 pairs of magnetic insoles. With a background in biology, I thought it was an interesting concept to use magnets for health. As my husband carefully inserted a thin pair into his dress shoes for work, he was hoping to find relief for fascia pain in his feet - a condition probably related to his athletic lifestyle. Of course, I grabbed the second pair and inserted them into my walking shoes for daily dog walks. I had no idea that a dark toenail would grow out to become healthy and pink once again. It caught my attention because the doctor only had a risky fungicide to offer, one in which he'd have to check my liver for consequences if I chose to use it. I did not!
The company that had the magnets also had water filters, mattresses, and some supplements. Choosing to align myself with the concept of a Wellness Home seemed like a good idea that I began to share. It was my first experience in network marketing back in 2001, representing and sharing lifestyle products for a better home environment to promote health and healing through alignment with earth's energies (the specially designed magnets) and incredible "living water", both of which I still use today.
That story in itself might have been enough, but I was constantly encouraged by my mentors to share more, teach more, and BE more. Though I enjoyed all of that, I found it difficult to sell . . . not really being trained in sales, nor in network marketing. A Wellness Home cost a minimum of $5000, an amount we were able to afford, but many found difficult to grasp. The perceived benefits didn't align, perhaps, with their beliefs, and I sold lots of magnetic insoles, magnetic necklaces, and massage balls at wholesale, just to have people try what I thought could be helpful.
A Journey of Hope and Discovery
A few years into my Wellness Home adventure, and network marketing, I was finally able to connect the idea that having wellness in your own home was better than always running to the doctor for every little concern. Unfortunately, I worried about frequent ear infections my daughter had as an infant, and subsequently she experienced too many occasions where the doctor prescribed antibiotics - just in case - which may have led to her extreme sensitivity to subsequent prescriptions.
What I appreciated the most in those early years was a connection to an International Network of Integrative Medicine through an online chat group constituting members within the magnet company. I felt honored to be a part of it, even though I wasn't yet an integrative practitioner like I am now. Back then, I asked with great urgency for help with my nephew's wife, Laura, who'd been recently diagnosed with a life-threatening, aggressive issue in her gut. I understood enough to also know that what I'd studied and curated in my Wellness Home couldn't get her through her dire situation. That's when I got connected to Dr. Bill who connected me to a brave woman in Nebraska, Marcy, who'd recently saved her own life with an important discovery, unknown to the world in 2005.
Marcy's Story
The following excerpt is a personal testimony from my friend, Marcy, who profoundly influenced my journey into Natural Wellness and possibilities. She graciously gave me permission to share her story over the years, often saying, "If you don't have a story, tell mine." Those words have stayed with me ever since. Rather than retell her experience in my own words, I'd like you to hear it from her.
My name is Marcy, and in August 2005 I was given an expiration date of four to six weeks. I had worked in health and wellness for a number of years and have been actively pursuing a health and wellness career for over 18 years and I’ve worked inside Natural Healthcare for almost my whole life. So, it’s incredible to me that I was in a life-threatening crisis in August of 2005. I had lumps, bumps, open wounds and masses of destruction in various places throughout my body. The doctor told me that nothing he had or that medical science had would help me. So, I went about looking for a solution. I started taking a specific zeolite product (created by a biochemist in Florida) and the result was nothing short of incredible. It literally saved my life and that process began very quickly. It happened in just a few short days. I started taking the product – 10 drops, 10 times a day. I put it directly in my mouth. As I did that I found it incredible how quickly my body responded. It was the only change I made. I wasn’t taking any medication. I was not even taking the things that I had been taking before the diagnosis. I was just using this one product, a very specific zeolite (now called Cell Defender) which was new to me and the world.
An Evolution in Possibilities

I was shuffling between meetings about the Wellness Home and conference calls with eye-opening testimonials that provided hope and possibilities to people just like Marcy, and just like me . . . people looking for ways to get healthy and stay healthy. We all developed a strong belief in the power of the body to heal. It was a concept I understood and believed, but didn't have a powerful link to know HOW to do so until my conversation with Marcy. Her ultimate healing provided hope for me and thousands of others through the power and influence of network marketing and belief.
The Importance of Reducing Interference
What interferes with your health and healing? What I've discovered after working through all aspects of natural health is that reducing interference and letting the body tune in and adapt to its cleaner self makes all the difference. The one interference that mattered most for Marcy, my dog Ginger, and myself were heavy metals. It wasn't long before hearing Marcy's personal testimony that I became aware of my personal toxic body burden through a chiropractor friend of mine. In a few short months after exposing me to that personal truth, I discovered Marcy and her story. It grew from there. One person helping another person through word-of-mouth, referred to as network marketing.
My Wellness Home was deficient in this one aspect of reducing interference. Though our family enjoyed purified water and air, good sleep, and some nice "juice" potent in antioxidants, it wasn't until we started using Cell Defender that bigger changes happened. A few over-the-counter medications in our home became obsolete and expired from lack of need. We hadn't realized we were tolerating getting sick seasonally, in spite of having a Wellness Home. The real shift came, I believe, when we incorporated the idea to reduce interference - a practice some people refer to as detox.
The Importance of Network Marketing
Yes, I believe in network marketing as a vehicle to share innovative, cutting-edge healing discoveries and technologies. Because Marcy was able to heal her situation completely within weeks, she not only outlived the dire prognosis, but lived a long life to make a difference in the world of self-care and natural healing.
Making a difference is my core belief, and the biochemist who developed and curated a line of unique products deserves to be hailed as a world class leader in health and wellness. Because he has chosen the vehicle of network marketing to bring his products to the world, we're truly blessed for his mentorship, education, and belief in us. He teaches us the science in understandable, shareable terms, and the company he created compensates us for our care and time. I resonate with his discoveries as life-changing, because indeed, my life has profoundly changed.
I developed a side-business to my healing practice that helps feed and care for my family by sharing great products that truly align with natural wellness and healing. That feels good to me.
