Does your dog have a cancer diagnosis? Have you heard of natural remedies such as frankincense and zeolite? Rather than jumping into invasive, drastic measures, do you have time to explore supporting your dog’s healing and recovery with holistic healing modalities?
I’ll break down Frankincense vs Zeolite so you can decide which may be better for your dog’s health.
A diagnosis of any canine cancer can be heart-breaking. Vets often leave you with few options – I know! We’ve been there. Your first thoughts might be, “How long do we have?” or “What can we do to save our dog?”
You might never have considered natural solutions like frankincense or zeolite. After all, your vet is unlikely to tell you about them for not having any training in natural remedies. But YOU go home and search right away, because you know there has to be SOMETHING that works. . . and you’re RIGHT.
Both frankincense and zeolite are becoming more well known in natural healing circles for their power to resonate with HEALING rather than POISONING. Both are affordable, costing way less than most canine cancer medical treatments. Both are easy to use and cause no harm – as long as you use the right products verified for purity and authenticity as well as effectiveness.
Here’s where confusion sets in, especially since you might not have these tools on hand before the diagnosis. Researching in a panic causes even more confusion and doubt. That’s why it’s important to be prepared, develop a relationship with a trusted, experienced practitioner, and continue to get support throughout the process.
But what’s the difference? Should you choose frankincense or zeolite? Which is better to start with?
I’ll cover the differences in each product, costs, choices, what to expect, and how to use them.
Don’t have time to read this whole post? My recommendation is to try both and see how your animal responds to each product. They are exceedingly easy to use and you want more tools anyway!
What is Frankincense?
Frankincense is a resin derived from the Frankincense tree, genus name Boswellia, which grows in hot, arid climates – like in North Africa, India, Oman, Yemen, and western Africa. There are several species which produce resins, each with their own distinct aromas and chemical profiles, as well as their effectiveness for use in canine cancer. Careful harvesting of the precious resin yields chunks that can be distilled to extract plant essences (also called essential oils).
What’s In Frankincense?
Boswellia sacra, Boswellia carteri, and Boswellia serrata all contain significant amounts of boswellic acid, while Boswellia frereana contains no boswellic acid. However, when evaluating the effectiveness of an essential oil or plant essence as a cancer-fighter, it’s important to remember that the individual components within the essence don’t work alone. This may be one of the biggest mistakes in pharmacology today – singling out miracle chemicals as cancer-fighters. One must also consider the ratios of other components such as limonene, pinene, and caryophyllene, as well as the method of extracting the essences (steam distillation vs CO2 extraction, or hexane extraction).
How Do You Use Frankincense?
Almost anyone can sell plant essences or essential oil products, but without knowledge of how to use them for medicinal aromatherapy, you may feel even more confused. Finding and trusting your sources may take time, but it’s well worth it to have effective products (vs perfumes) on hand when you need them. My choice for frankincense is Boswellia sacra, or sacred frankincense not only due to its higher content of boswellic acids, limonene, and other constituents, but also because it feels smoother and gentler energetically.
Though frankincense can be used topically, some cancer-fighting recipes offer oral ingestion of plant essences. Again, quality is of utmost importance when considering dosing your dog with essential oils. I recommend topical application over ingestion because when anything is taken orally, it goes through the digestive process, whereas topically applied essences go directly into the bloodstream and are delivered where needed in original form.
Frankincense can work synergistically with other plant essences. Once you know which ones to use, I recommend a technique called layering, rather than mixing essences into a blend. This gives each essence an opportunity to become absorbed and integrated with the energy of your animal.
What’s the Cost of Frankincense?
Network marketing companies charge a premium for 5 ml or 15 ml size bottles, partly to pay their distributors a commission for sharing, promoting and marketing their products, but also because reputable companies put in the time and research, creating farms, and establishing relationships with growers. At this writing, for example, Young Living charges $103.29 retail for a 15 ml bottle of Boswellia carteri steam distilled frankincense (or $78.50 if you’re a distributor). A 15 ml bottle of Boswellia sacra is $126.64 retail (or $96.25 if you’re a distributor). Other companies may charge from $40 to $150 for a 15 ml bottle of sacred frankincense. With that wide of a price variance, you can assume that quality may also vary. It’s easy to adulterate (change or add impurities) to essential oils, diluting them and making them ineffective – or worse – harmful!
Aside from the cost per bottle, you’ll need to calculate the overall cost as you utilize frankincense throughout the course of your pet’s treatment. Dosing varies according to your pet’s particular needs, size, and sensitivity. Expect a 15 ml bottle to have about 300 drops. If you use about 20 drops per day, a bottle will last 15 days. Plan to purchase again before running out.
If your animal is particularly sensitive, you’ll also want to consider using a carrier oil. My favorite is pure cold-pressed moringa due to its amazing antioxidant and healing properties, even on its own.
What to Expect with Frankincense
I believe frankincense is NOT a stand alone cure for canine cancer. However, the magical and energetic properties of frankincense have many studies to back up the fact that tumors can shrink with the consistent application of pure frankincense over time. In addition, emotional and spiritual healing can also occur.
What is Zeolite?
Zeolite is a mineral that’s not part of any diet, it doesn’t add anything nutritionally, and isn’t absorbed or metabolized by the body. Its virtues are purely PURE in that this mineral has a negative charge that attracts dense positive charges into its crystalline cage – like mercury, cadmium, lead, and arsenic, etc.
Naturally formed from the interaction of lava and ash from volcanic activity with sea water, this miracle mineral has been used for centuries to detoxify just about everything. The powder has been used in water and air filters, as well as an additive to animal feed, and anti-diarrheal medications. Zeolite might best be known for environmental use, absorbing radioactive strontium and cesium from nuclear reactor disasters.
What’s in Zeolite?
There are many types of naturally occurring zeolites in the world, some of which are NOT used for detoxification. I only recommend clinoptilolite as the zeolite of choice. Zeolite concoctions for health purposes vary greatly, especially since the huge successes in studies using a purified and micronized form of zeolite. (Click here for access to all the studies on zeolite)
Many zeolite products on the market utilize the successes of one particular zeolite I recommend to make claims of their own. They change the ingredients by adding vitamins or acids to suspend the zeolite in water. These formulations are a weak attempt to satisfy a growing interest in zeolite for cancer. The truth is that if you have the right zeolite, no claims are needed. The product works and the body remembers how to heal.
Since zeolite is a natural product created by Earth herself, synthetic versions don’t (can’t) replicate her power. That said, powdered zeolites are impure because they haven’t been cleaned to original form. In its original form, clinoptilolite zeolite is Earth’s detoxifier, soaking up toxins from the volcanic event as well as environmental pollution already present. Once cleaned and restored to a micronized state, the surface area of zeolite is ready to work, picking up toxins it meets in the bloodstream. No extra ingredients are needed for this particular zeolite to be effective.
How Do You Use Zeolite?
Suspended in pure water, clean, micronized zeolite is ready to use. Drops become the dosage (not teaspoons), and frequency matters in order to keep the molecules floating throughout the body, picking up toxins and activating the destruction of bad cells. Since zeolite is NOT metabolized or used by the body, it isn’t stored in tissues nor does it change to a “digested” state. Administer drops directly into the mouth for fast absorption into the body. This zeolite can also be applied topically with a bandage to localize application where needed.
Dosage depends on the individual. I can only offer recommendations for the zeolite I use. Other zeolite formulations just don’t measure up. Therefore, with such variance in types and qualities on the market, wasting your money is easy with the wrong zeolite. Talk to me first before buying.
A 30 ml bottle has about 300 drops. Depending on the needs of your animal, I usually recommend small frequent doses. Because zeolite is NOT metabolized nor used by the body, frequency matters most for two reasons:
- To keep zeolite circulating in the bloodstream so it continues to work. If it’s not present, there’s no benefit.
- Cancer has had a big head start. Work quickly to get rid of toxins to allow the body to kick in its natural immune responses.
What Does Zeolite Cost?
Zeolite raw material is really cheap – about $50 – $100 per ton. In this form, zeolite is USELESS as a health product. What you’re paying for in purified, micronized zeolite (specifically clinoptilolite) is the research and manufacturing processes developed through years of experience refining the technique. More than 30 steps take place to completely cleanse and activate the zeolite particles, making them as small as possible (0.39 microns). Any smaller than that (as some manufacturers claim) doesn’t exist since the zeolite hole in the crystalline cage itself measures 0.39 microns.
Zeolite in this pure, micronized and ready-to-use drop form costs about $54 per bottle. If you’re going through a crisis situation, you may use a bottle every 6-7 days. Plan to order enough to last 30 days so you don’t run out – that’s 3-4 bottles for crisis dosing. Expect to spend about $200 per month for this effective quality zeolite. Not a bad price for an ability to change/save lives. Look at Cell Defender here. and call me before you buy for a free consultation.
What to Expect With Zeolite
It’s hard to say if zeolite can be considered a stand alone resource for healing. It’s certainly fundamental, overlooked, and hugely necessary for optimal healing, in my opinion. Removing toxins that interfere with healing processes can make a big difference in the outcome. Most people don’t know about zeolite, or buy the wrong product as they try to save a few extra dollars.
A lot depends on where your pet is in the cancer journey. If chemotherapy treatments have already been applied, then more toxins need to be removed. Age, diet, supplements, your belief and attitude – they ALL MATTER. Also, can surgery help? In one case years ago, the tumor in the dog’s throat was inoperable. However, after using my zeolite, the tumor shrunk enough to be safely removed.
Personally, my Ginger was given NO HOPE. At age 12 1/2, diabetic, and arthritic, we were more hopeful than the vets. Our outcome was superior and we enjoyed Ginger’s company, cancer-free for many more months with a protocol I developed using this zeolite as a foundation with many other tools. You can read Ginger’s Story here.
Frankincense vs Zeolite Side-By-Side
Which Works Better for Canine Cancer
FRANKINCENSE | ZEOLITE | |
How It Works | Organically, stopping bad cells from growing or causing cells to die – | Inorganically, absorbed into the bloodstream, capturing toxins, causing bad cells to die, balancing pH, activating a healthy immune response – |
What It Works On | Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual Healing: anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, anti-microbial May provide a feeling of peace, calm, or relaxation – | Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual Healing: clearing out toxins to allow the body to heal, anti-inflammatory, highly antioxidant, clear negative energy – |
Effectiveness | Studies show great success with specific cancers, especially when combined with other plant essences and other healing tools in a specific, holistic protocol – | Especially effective with fast growing, wayward epithelial cells, especially when using frequent applications in combination with holistic and/or medical intervention (such as surgery, if needed) – |
Side-Effects | Possible skin irritation, Low or No Toxicity when using pure, unadulterated frankincense plant essences – | NONE – only side-benefits, as long as you’re using pure micronized clinoptilolite with no added ingredients – |
Conclusion
Frankincense and zeolite work differently to promote good health and healing, and both show positive results when used with care and guidance. As a result, using a multi-faceted, holistic approach may be best overall to promote healing and recovery. Frankincense and zeolite work best when combined with species appropriate (no carb) diet, especially in early discovery stages, before chemotherapy is employed.
Work closely with experienced and knowledgeable holistic practitioners to offer a complete healing protocol. Though cure is not always possible, these two tools, frankincense and zeolite, do no harm and may offer healing not seen with modern medical protocols.
