Reiki, the Japanese method of healing and relaxation, has been present in its current form for many years. Yet, energy healing modalities are not limited to Reiki. There is, in fact, no limit to the possibilities of accessing Reiki energy as a healing modality. The limits I have found in working with Reiki for many years can be summarized with four vital points:
- Delay in action – Students who become attuned to Reiki level 1 sometimes become “stalled” in their progress. Life happens. People move away, have a shortage of funds, find no time, or any number of reasons to delay continuing their practice. After a while, the first Reiki attunement seems too far away to continue practicing.
- Lack of training – One of the most important aspects of learning Reiki is to actually find the time to practice it. Yet, some students lack proper training on energy techniques that promote confidence and competence.
- Lack of community support – Receiving a Reiki attunement is wonderful, but it’s just the beginning. Once the energy door is opened, it’s important to connect with like-minded people. We’re not alone, yet sometimes our awakening makes us feel separate, different, and maybe a little strange.
- Lack of developing sensitivity – In order to make Reiki easier to teach and use, early Reiki teachers developed a system of hand positions that offered good results. However, Usui initially intended for Reiki hand placements to be intuitive and encouraged the use of Byosen scanning as well as other intuitive techniques.
As a result, our Reiki classes take the best of all Reiki trainings. We focus on combining the Reiki experiences of Reiki 1 & 2 together into a full weekend class. There’s no waiting to continue your training.
