Cure vs Heal
What does it mean to cure disease?
Cure can mean to eliminate evidence of disease by cutting out (surgical removal), killing (antibiotics, chemotherapy), or burning (radiation, laser, etc.), or subduing symptoms with drug treatments (pain relievers, muscle relaxants, sleep aids, etc.) Curing doesnāt guarantee that the disease will not return, or that consequences may arise as a result of treatment (for example, developing a yeast infection after using antibiotics for a urinary infection).
What does it mean to heal?
To HEAL is to become whole, to return to wholeness and health. I specifically add HEALTH, because I believe that most people donāt give natural healing methods enough credit. Some people feel healthier in body, mind, and spirit, while still living with the debilitating disease. Iād like to offer an alternative point-of-view.
Treating the symptom doesnāt treat the problem. Letās take a look at modern treatments, where they help, and where they fall short of offering healing.
