Facial Renewal Sun Moon Weighted Tuning Forks Acupressure

Facial Renewal Begins with Touch, Sound, and Intention

Your beautiful face carries more than expression. It carries tension from thinking, squinting, concentrating, clenching, grieving, smiling, speaking, and responding to life. It carries the imprint of stress in the jaw, the brow, the temples, the eyes, and the tiny muscles that work all day without much appreciation. That’s why a facial renewal practice can become so much more than skin care.

When you combine gentle acupressure with weighted tuning forks, breath, and intention, a simple facial becomes a deeply calming self-care ritual. It supports relaxation, encourages a sense of flow, softens facial tension, and invites the nervous system to settle.

Your facial renewal is about bringing life, presence, circulation, warmth, softness, and renewed awareness into one of the most expressive parts of your body. In this article, I'll share how easy it is to use the weighted Sun and Moon tuning forks on acupressure points to revitalize your skin-care routine to create better skin tone, help relax and heal, and care for yourself, possibly like never before.

Why Weighted Tuning Forks Work Beautifully for Facial Self-Care

Weighted tuning forks create vibration you can feel. Unlike unweighted forks that project tone into the space around you, weighted forks send vibration through the stem of the fork and into the point of contact.

That makes them especially useful for working with acupressure points. When the stem of a weighted tuning fork is applied to a point on the face, the vibration creates a soothing sensation. Many people experience this as calming, grounding, and surprisingly comforting. It can feel like the body receives a message to soften.

The Sun and Moon Weighted Tuning Forks for Facial Renewal

For this facial practice, I love the balance of the Sun and Moon weighted tuning forks.

The Sun weighted tuning fork, 126.22 Hz, brings a bright, warming, activating quality. In a facial practice, I think of Sun energy as radiance, vitality, warmth, circulation, and the spark of life returning to the face.

The Moon weighted tuning fork, 210.42 Hz, brings a softer, cooling, receptive quality. In a facial practice, I think of Moon energy as calm, restoration, inner quiet, and the gentle release of tension.

Together, Sun and Moon create a beautiful rhythm.

Warm and cool.
Bright and soft.
Active and receptive.
Radiant and restful.

That balance makes this practice especially lovely for Mother’s Day, seasonal renewal, or any time you want a facial ritual that feels nurturing rather than cosmetic.

Facial Acupressure Points to Include

facial sun and moon weighted tuning forks

For a simple at-home practice, you can work with a few easy facial points. Use clean hands, a clean tuning fork stem. Hold the tuning fork by the stem. Tap the side of the weighted tuner against a tennis ball, a carpeted floor, or the heal of your opposite hand, hard enough to activate the fork, but soft enough not to be too loud. You'll be able to feel the vibration if you apply the tip of the stem to any point on your body. For this exercise, we're focusing on facial acupressure points.

Begin with these areas:

Center of the forehead
This point can help bring awareness to the mind and invite the forehead to soften.

Inner brow points
These points often hold tension from concentration, screen time, worry, or eye strain.

Temples
The temples respond beautifully to gentle vibration. Move slowly here and use a very light touch.

Under-eye points below the orbital bone
Stay well below the eye itself. This area calls for extra gentleness. Never place the tuning fork on the eyeball or too close to the eye.

Cheekbone points
These points can help bring warmth, awareness, and a sense of vitality to the mid-face.

Sides of the nose
Use a gentle touch and breathe slowly. This area can feel surprisingly relieving when worked with care.

Jaw hinge points
The jaw holds so much. Clenching, speaking, holding back words, stress, and daily tension often gather here.

Center of the chin
This point can complete the practice and bring a sense of settling and grounding to the lower face.

You can work both sides of the face evenly, or spend more time where you feel tension. Always let comfort guide you.

A Simple Sun and Moon Facial Tuning Fork Practice

Set aside five to ten minutes.

Sit comfortably. Take a few slow breaths. Let your shoulders drop. Relax your jaw. Soften your tongue. Notice your face before you begin. This tuning fork set can be used choosing one fork at a time, or with both forks working simultaneously. Hold Sun in one hand, Moon in the other. Tap to activate each tuner, and apply the stem of each tuner to different acupressure points. Try opposing sides of your head, or jaw. Try the top of each brow at the same time. You'll soon get the hang of it.

Individually, you can start with the Moon weighted tuning fork. Activate it gently and place the stem on the jaw hinge, temples, inner brow, and under-eye points below the orbital bone. Move slowly. Pause at each point. Let the Moon frequency bring softness and calm.

Then work with the Sun weighted tuning fork. Activate it gently and place the stem near the cheekbones, center of the forehead, sides of the nose, and chin. Let the Sun frequency bring warmth, brightness, and renewal.

You can also alternate Sun and Moon at the same point. For example, use Moon at the temples to soften tension, then Sun at the cheekbones to bring warmth and vitality. Let your own body teach you what feels best.

Add This Recipe for a More Beautiful Ritual

You can easily make up this recipe to combine an aspect of wellness most people miss. I love how essential oils can work in combination with Avini products. Here, I recommend Avini Nano Silver gel as a base. Add just a couple of drops of your essential oil of choice. Apply a small dab to the area of your skin you want to use tuning forks. . . let's say your brows. Apply the vibrating stem of the tuners on the slippery gel mix and slide along your brow. You can repeat the method, applying gel mix and tuning forks along the jawline, cheekbones, temples, and hairline.

Nano Silver gel is great to help heal common skin issues, relieve breakouts, rashes, reduce discoloration, and can actually help moisturize and soften skin.

Rose Geranium brings the aroma of Rose, without the enormous expense. It's one of my favorite essential oils, and is especially great for skin care and circulation. It invites softness, heart connection, beauty, and emotional tenderness.

OR

Lavender supports calm, relaxation, and a feeling of restoration.

Keep essential oils away from the eyes. Be sure to also apply the mix and tuning forks to your high heart (the sternum bone that protects your thymus gland). This one extra point can make the experience feel more ceremonial and nourishing.

Affirmation for Facial Renewal

As you work, you may want to repeat a simple affirmation:

I create space for renewal.
I receive nourishment with an open heart.
I welcome radiance, softness, and balance.

Let the words move through your breath, and your face soften as you say them as this becomes a practice of receiving.

This practice is for relaxation, self-care, and energetic support. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions.

Renewal You Can Feel

Facial renewal with Sun and Moon weighted tuning forks brings together touch, sound, breath, and intention in a way that feels deeply nurturing. It’s simple enough to do at home and meaningful enough to become a seasonal, or even daily ritual.

Be kind to your face. It needs circulation, softness, relaxation, and presence. It needs the same thing the rest of you needs: less burden, more life.
