Your Unlimited Mindset
Lately I've been exploring the idea of fixed and growth mindsets (Mindset; How we can Learn to Fulfill Our Potential by Carol Dweck) through her CD set I obtained from the library. I accepted a challenge from my friend for personal growth in the New Year, and discovered this interesting resource that caught my attention. It wasn't so much about fulfilling my potential. It felt more about learning her perspective on mindset . . . which is a term I rarely use myself, opting for beliefs instead of mindset. In my experience, beliefs determine - almost pre-determine - an outcome. Beliefs are so strong that they can overcome reason, learned behaviors, emotions, previous choices, research, dominant trends, and social influence. With something as powerful as beliefs, it might feel important to take an objective look at where you are on the color palette of beliefs in order to discover your own sense of limitations. Do you feel like you have an unlimited mindset? Let's discover how to choose an unlimited mindset - or unlimited potential to achieve and receive anything you desire.
The Color Palette of Beliefs
Color, often used in association with chakras as well as rates of vibration (purple is a high vibrational color, whereas red is a lower vibration, or frequency, of color). Higher frequencies mean that these colors (and sounds, by the way, have shorter wavelengths - the measured length between peaks of a wave. Lower frequencies have longer wavelengths and are associated with reds and oranges for color, and deeper sounds. Higher frequencies can feel exciting, more energetic, spiritual, intuitive, and vibrant. They can be associated with growth, happiness, and abundance. On the flip side of higher frequencies, it can feel tense and stressful, overactive, and driven. Lower frequencies can feel slower, calmer, grounding, and emotionally on the flip side, lower frequencies can feel sad, depressed, hopeless, or even ill.

There's no right or wrong with this color palette of frequencies. In fact, I only mention it in relation to beliefs NOT being either/or, as in black or white, good or bad. However, beliefs can limit choices, hold back a person's potential, and rule their heart. The magic is all about perspective.
The Magic of Perspective and Beliefs
In the Mental Success Tracks training with MJ Durkin, we discover that INPUTS create MENTAL IMAGERY. Then, MENTAL IMAGERY creates your MOOD. Your MOOD drives your ACTION. After speaking with MJ briefly about this mindset topic, I decided that PERSPECTIVE dictates your position on the Color Palette of BELIEF. Your action, though inspired by your mood, is determined by your degree of belief - your PERSPECTIVE - on not only feeling, but also thinking what you can do, or not do. Your WORTHINESS. Your HOPE. Your DESIRES.
If your BELIEF is open, AND you feel WORTHY, HOPEFUL, and even have a degree of dissatisfaction in whatever your situation is, your perspective will drive you toward actions that serve your desires, and a higher vibrational outcome (purples and blues on the Color Palette of Belief). You'll automatically CHOOSE movement over stagnation, seek new ways of being over staying stuck, find ease and grace as well as fun over disappointment, suffering, and limitations.
In contrast, if your belief is closed (close-minded), and you feel unworthy, hopeless, and content with not taking risks (growing beyond your beliefs), your perspective will keep you within the realm of inaction, ordinary, safe, limited, and perhaps even fearful for losing what you've gained so far. On the Color Palette of Belief, you might feel safer in the reds and oranges.
Choosing to have an UNLIMITED MINDSET
As in all things, awareness is the first step. Notice how you feel about the following topics:
- Health
- Money
- Relationships
- Education/business
- Spirituality
In health, are you stuck on the medical system and waiting for prescriptions from your doctor? Or are you proactive toward health, looking for better ways for self-care, vibrance, and longevity?
In money, are you always worried about being able to pay bills, living in fear of lack and scarcity? Or are you confident that there's more than enough - in fact abundance - for you, your family, and everyone.
In relationships, are you afraid of losing what you have, or feeling controlled by your partner? Or are you balanced, compassionate, and outgoing as an individual and as a couple?
In education or in business, do you feel like you're always trying to get ahead, or win? Or do you feel successful, intelligent, and driven toward more growth?
In spirituality, do you feel disconnected, hopeless, or unworthy? Or do you feel confident and connected to Source, inspired, and worthy?
Once you become aware, choices are always yours. Your perspective on your beliefs matter. Your unlimited mindset is a choice for abundance, worthiness, hope, peace, success, and all you desire.
