The Art of Living Your Dreams

Infinite Stress-Free Possibilities

I'm truly fortunate, blessed, and constantly amazed at what the Universe has brought me throughout life. My mother always told me that I could be, do, and have anything I wanted. That was the fortunate part. She was right! So when I was accused recently of being a "Pollyanna", I took a closer look at what was going on, who was making the accusations, and if they were true! I felt in my heart the truth of possibilities, the delight and joy I feel every day in my bones for life on this planet, and my own knowledge, strength, and abilities as a compassionate teacher and wisdom-keeper for my students and clients. This is all happening. It's truth, and it all occurs, even in the middle of chaos, disability, confusion, lack, discomfort, and misunderstandings. Life isn't perfect, but then, it really is perfect! There's a way to have infinite stress-free possibilities. I'd love to share some insights on this idea!

Sitting here on my desk is a book I checked out of the library. It's by one of my favorite authors, Mike Dooley, called Infinite Possibilities; The Art of Living Your Dreams. I started flipping through the pages, mentally going "check" with each sentence and idea. His beliefs align with mine. We dream and consciously choose what we want, and we're driven into action that moves us toward all possibilities for manifesting our dreams. Yet stress is also a very powerful interruptor of dreams and manifestations. That's because stress carries huge emotions, frustrations, and limiting beliefs. Stress takes over to sometimes make people say stuff they probably shouldn't say, or draw false conclusions.

On the other hand, I had an enlightening conversation shortly after the accusatory one with a friend who was physically hit and thrown by the impact of an SUV on her body one night in December last year. She nearly died as she was aware of her out-of-body experience. Severely bruised and somewhat broken, she surrendered to the hands, visions, and prayers that held her through the night. She credits her survival with her direct intention toward health and prevention with Avini over the previous four years.

It's All About Perspective

Which situation depicts a life of dreams coming true? Is it the one who's frustrated, desperate, and pointing a finger of blame? Or is it the one whose shining smile says that the accident was a turning point toward infinite possibilities, growth, achievement, release, and manifestation? If I add my own perspective of seeking truth, I admit to seeing the bright side. I SEEK the bright side, which is why I'm sometimes confused when the Universe hands me a stressful situation. You see, I'm also dealing with my own stuff - don't we all? I also have challenges, downs, illness, worry and stress. However, my perspective on infinite possibilities, joy, and abundance wins every time. My perspective rarely lets me down.

How to Improve Your Perspective

Thoughts become things. What you think about matters. What you read, hear, experience, feel, and know not only shape your beliefs, they reinforce your beliefs. The most important take-away from this is to know that you have power over your inputs - the things in your experiences that grab your attention. You also have responsibility to yourself and others to allow the energy of your experiences to move through you - without judgement, reactivity, or accusations. My friend could have blamed the driver that hit her not only for compensatory damages, but also with emotional anger and resentment. Instead, she's deeply healing and releasing old stuff stored in her body. The accident might even be considered an accelerator that's helping her move into a new era of her life - one of freedom and ultimate joy for life! Isn't that a beautiful perspective?

On the other hand, I know that the other conversation - the accusatory one I experienced, is one I can only offer compassion toward. As she maneuvers challenges in her life, I'm only aware of the several she's shared with me - too private to express here. Her perspective is trapped in despair and lack. My perspective on the situation is that everyone has their own path, and their own choices. Their thoughts are not mine.

I choose joy, abundance, family, health, and connection. I choose to prevent discomfort and despair with my own perspective on the art of living my dreams. I HAVE dreams. I write them down, think about them, visualize them, and embody them into reality. It doesn't make me better or worse than the next person, but go ahead and call me a tree-hugger, dreaming about rainbows and butterflies. I accept that! I choose that! Thank you very much for seeing that in me. It means I'm doing what I want to live a life of infinite possibilities and have mastered the art of living my dreams.
