  If we ever had any idea that our precious Ginger would have to face cancer, we would have done things differently from the beginning. How could we have known? Preventing cancer was furthest from our minds in 1994 when we brought Ginger into our lives. However, we did intend for her to have the best we could offer – premium dog food, wellness checks every year, protection from all canine diseases with every vaccination available, training, exercise, and unbounded love. Our plans included lots of play time, long walks, snuggling, and companionship. Unfortunately, we didn't see her illnesses coming. We didn’t know the warning signs. Working in the wellness field for many years has taught me many things, not the least of which is that people often make fear-based decisions.
