Chakra Balance Tool

What’s the first thing you do if you begin to lose your balance?

I never liked the feeling of falling, crashing to the sidewalk and experiencing the crunch of bones, joints, and, well, my sense of self. I know you understand what I mean. The truth is, we have too much experience with being off-balance – not just in the physical way of falling, but the emotional and spiritual way, too. Life happens. People (and animals) get sick. Friends move. Jobs change. Crises occur. That’s all part of the journey. But if you’re feeling off-balance for long, you might tend to stay that way. (I see it all too often!)

Hold on. Brace yourself. Prepare for the worst. In that split second before the fall, you reach out, trying to grasp something to support you. If you’re lucky, it works and you avoid the consequences. If you lose your balance and find yourself sitting on an icy sidewalk (as I did a few years ago), you hold on, brace yourself, and reach out for a hand up. What you do next really matters.

I’m the type of person who grabs onto lessons at every opportunity. Though after my second fall (yes, I fell twice in the same spot) I took extra precautions to make sure I wouldn’t fall again. I changed the type of shoes I was wearing to have extra traction, and walked on the other side of the street to avoid icy spots. However, I was sore and really put a lot of effort into self-care with massage and acupuncture, as well as yoga and stretching.

I had the nagging questions of WHY I fell, why it happened in the same place, and what was I supposed to be doing in my life. The fall came as a message from the universe, I felt, that somehow I needed to pay attention to being more balanced – in every way! If you think like that, too, and if a fall isn’t just a fall, then take the opportunity to go a little deeper.

chakra balance tool downloadChakras are energy centers in the body that move and spin. These energy centers are a direct expression of your soul as they manifest into physical form. If you’re feeling weak, injured, upset, stuck, or otherwise deficient in some way, it could be because you’re either blocking energy or leaking energy. Both blocking and leaking energy are often regulated, at least in part, by emotions, events, and perceptions. These topics can fill books. To make it easy, I’ll just skip to the solution.

How Energy Effects Your Health

I know how it is. Sometimes you just need a little more energy. But did you know that the energy, emotions, experiences, and life events you had 6 to 9 months ago are just now presenting themselves in your physical body?  Life events based around relationships – divorce, break-ups, etc. – can express themselves in the moment as sadness or grief. You might feel it in your heart. Energetically these events and feelings can become lodged or stuck, repeating themselves in your mind, manifesting in your dreams, and showing up as symptoms in the coming months.

Evidence of such physical manifestations have long been studied. Research shows a higher incidence of heart disease and breast cancer in women who’ve been divorced or widowed less than one year prior to diagnosis. It’s hard to ignore the possibility of such events helping to cause the most serious medical symptoms we see today. What, then, can be done as a means of helping to prevent such serious outcomes?

Vibrational Medicine

According to Dr. Richard Gerber, author of several books on Vibrational Medicine, it’s our etheric energy body that determines our physical nature. Instead of trying to correct or treat illnesses by treating symptoms, it’s much more effective (and perhaps even logical) to correct vibrations in the energy field, balancing chakras, opening blockages, and clearing lower vibrations (negative energies). These energy techniques may not only work as a means of preventing the manifestation of lower vibrations as symptoms, but may also act as a way to correct imbalances currently expressing themselves as disease.

The thought that energy medicine could work is not new. For the intellectual person who likes to read, I’d like to suggest any of Dr. Gerber’s books. You may also like Dr. Candace Pert’s book, Molecules of Emotion, or Dr. Bruce Lipton’s book, The Biology of Belief. For natural practitioners, vibrational medicine is a “no-brainer”. In fact, it’s important to note that getting out of your head (intellectualizing the relationship of health and disease), and into your energy body (feeling, knowing, experiencing, etc.) may be the best you can ever do for your health. The shift toward WHOLENESS reveals itself as better health.

Chakras and the Solfeggio Frequencies

Briefly, the chakra system of the body is based on the movement of energies through points along the back body. As energy crosses energy along this central channel it creates a vortex, or chakra. Each chakra is influenced by frequencies that either promote the flow of energy or block the energy. In my experience and training with the Energy Vitality Technique, Solfeggio frequencies help bring the body’s energy field into alignment with the correct frequency of wholeness and health.

When Do You Need Balance?

I thought it was a clever way to express a goal when, years ago, a friend of mine used the words “seek balance” as a part of her email address. Balance. In biological terms, balance can be a good thing – a very good thing! Ecosystems maintain their stability with the balance of nature. Sleep cycles, life cycles, seasonal cycles, water cycles, and all the movement in and around the earth harmonize to create the WHOLE of who we are and how we exist in the world. Even inside our bodies, cells work to create homeostasis – a kind of balance in the body that makes sure all systems function properly. It’s why we maintain a nearly constant temperature, blood consistency and pressure, rate of growth and recovery, and body type – all of which can be measured, analyzed, and compared. Measuring gives us a baseline – a place to start. Analysis and comparison can reveal imbalances.

Balance

In emotional terms, balance can also be a good thing. However, my point of view on balance may indeed rock the boat just a bit. I like the idea of imbalance sometimes. The truth is out there now. At this point you may dismiss my musings as a little off-balance! I like to look at it this way. Imbalance helps us grow. It draws attention to itself, increases our awareness, and stimulates our thoughts. We become more active participants in our daily choices when we detect imbalances. Uncomfortable as it may seem, when imbalances throw us a curve we have to respond. Eventually, our responses bring us back into a feeling of balance – at least temporarily.

Recently I finished writing the first installment of new curriculum my daughter and I created. The curriculum itself is an amazing story to be shared at another time and involves an intuitive process about which we’re excited. We encountered the usual difficulties along the way such as printer problems, time crunches, coordinating schedules, waiting for shipment of materials, and all things a business sometimes experiences. We both spent hours editing, meditating, and bringing to life a new body of information. It was fantastically rewarding, exhilarating, and exhausting all at the same time.

After finishing the details with great enthusiasm and success, we taught the Illumination Reiki™ class and follow-up apprentice workshop, pouring our energies into the experiences for our participants. What happened next surprised me. I noticed in the days following our scheduled classes that there was a different energy present. I felt a void – a feeling of deep emptiness and lack. When I sat at my computer, I accomplished light tasks, answered emails, followed-up with clients, and not much more than that. My creative well of endless energy was tapped out. I couldn’t eek out one more intuitive lesson, one more intention, or one more constructive thought. I was totally off-balance.

BEING Off-Balance

As it turns out, I didn’t immediately try to fill the void. Years ago that might have been my first instinct – to correct any imbalance as quickly as possible. Like a new purse waiting to be filled, or an empty space in a room inviting a new object to fill the space, I used to be the one to fill it up, take the space, and avoid the void, so to speak. Instead, I took the time to feel a little off-balance. I let myself experience free time. Even my free time was deliberately not filled with creative crafts, writing, or “vacation”. I didn’t intentionally fill the void with purposeful acts and responsibilities. I chose instead to just BE.

To just BE in a void was an interesting experience. I could suddenly relate to buried feelings that showed up because they could. There was space for them to reveal themselves. I got in touch with loneliness, emptiness, and relaxation. Extra sleep came easily. Vivid dreams manifested brightly. Meditations offered different thoughts to come through for my personal growth and awareness. I became aware of the imbalances in my diet as my body rejected any processed foods, favoring whole foods with minimal ingredients instead.

My off-balance experience awakened a new perspective on balance. While many people quickly try to correct the imbalances they measure, it might actually be a good idea to experience the feeling of imbalance. In doing so, a new sense of awareness about feeling WHOLE may emerge.

7 Tips to Help You Regain Balance

Of course, if there’s a medical reason for serious imbalances, please consult with a medical professional. The tips offered here support your growth and self-awareness to allow your body, mind, and spirit to feel whole, healthy, and healed.

  1. Recognize imbalance as a natural process. Honor the times you feel off-balance and allow yourself to feel the experience. Emotionally, you may feel uncomfortable. Physically, you may also feel uncomfortable. Use how you feel as a guide for healing and re-balancing.
  2. Daily practices, habits, and choices may need adjustment. An imbalance can help you make better choices. Notice the differences when you choose habits and practices that fall into alignment with wholeness and well-being.
  3. Measure, assess, and analyze. You can easily take on a few basic tasks such as measuring body weight, writing a food journal, keeping a dream journal, or keeping track of medications and supplements. Notice changes as you become consciously aware of your statistics.
  4. Make affirmations. Choose what you want, and say it out loud with “I” statements. For example, “I only eat foods that are whole and minimally processed.” Or, “I keep my energy grounded and safe.”
  5. Offer gratitude and be open to learning. Be thankful for the feelings of imbalance because you could experience a new depth of understanding, one that’s different from feeling full and balanced.
  6. Work at balance. As much as I appreciate the lessons of imbalance, I like it when everything comes together for balance. Working at balance means releasing energies that don’t serve you, and recharging with new energy – like the chakra balance exercise.
  7. Know that all events, circumstances, balances, and imbalances are part of the whole process of being. We experience life in cycles. The experience of abundance is balanced with the experience of lack. Pain balances with healing and relief. Joy balances with grief. Fast balances with slow, and so forth.

The imbalances create our journey. Though I’m not always excited about the feelings of imbalance, I know that the way the world cycles will bring more than I ever expected for a fulfilling life.

10 Ways to Develop Clairvoyance in Everyday Life

Are You Clairvoyant?

It’s a matter of vision when we refer to the clarity of what you see with your eyes. However, there’s a different kind of “seeing” that touches upon the psychic realm. Clairvoyance is a skill that today might be defined as seeing what isn’t visible, having psychic abilities, or the ability to see the dead. It all sounds kind of eerie, doesn’t it? We tend to fear what we don’t understand. Not only fearing the unknown, but also blocking intuitive abilities might mean you’re denying yourself a wonderful clairvoyant experience.

I’d like to shed new light and a new perspective on what clairvoyance really is, and demonstrate that we all possess clairvoyant abilities that can be developed more acutely with practice.

What is Clairvoyance?

In the 17th Century, clairvoyance literally meant “clear vision” or “clear-sighted”. It wasn’t until the 19th century that clairvoyance became associated with psychic or extra-sensory abilities. Much earlier than that, however, dreams, visions, messages from spirit, prophesies, and divination had a place among the people. In small communities and indigenous cultures, the ability to read the signs, interpret omens, or understand life came from a strong connection to nature.

Today, we’re a culture that relies heavily on electronics, wiring, and modern technology – television and computer screens, smart phones, and other hand-held devices. We live in climate-controlled buildings with wires in the walls, man-made materials off-gassing chemicals all around us. We sleep with an alarm, and drive huge machines that have the ability to go much faster and farther than one can run. We are all blessed – and cursed – with a world of convenience, manipulated to our specifications. It’s no wonder that we feel disconnected from nature and even disconnected from our own peaceful thoughts.

Clairvoyance is a natural gift that allows one to be present with oneself – mindful of what it feels like to breathe fully, sleep peacefully, and live in health. The gift of “clear sight” means that you can see through a camouflage of deception, welcome the day with gratitude for all that is to come, and be guided in your many choices to act with purpose and integrity.

The Clairvoyant Experience

If you ever had a dream that seemed real, or a vision that became true, you probably were having a clairvoyant experience. You might not have given much thought to it, and went about your day in the usual manner. If your dream or vision was someone who had passed away, or a foretelling of an incident that manifested, it might have scared you and discouraged you from developing your gift.

The clairvoyant experience doesn’t have to be profound, life-changing, or obvious. These experiences exist as little nudges, ideas, imagination, and dreams. They are meant to connect us more closely to our natural world. They go beyond the physical world by joining us to the Spirit that lives in everyone and in everything.

Shamanism and Clairvoyance

As an intuitive healer, I have developed my clairvoyant abilities over my many years as a Reiki Master and Shaman. Meditation, along with Reiki, helped me remember how to BE in the world, and reconnect with the spiritual nature and life force in everything. The indigenous cultures of the world refer to this intuitive practice as Shamanism. Very simply, a Shaman “walks between the worlds” of what is seen (visible) and what is unseen (invisible). A Shaman uses clairvoyance through journeying, among other tools, to see and know what is needed for healing, learning from guides in “other worlds” to provide assistance in the healing process.

Developing Your Clairvoyant Abilities

Getting started is easy. Devoting your life to your intuitive abilities and to a life of healing takes time and persistence, as well as passion and an open heart. One can develop clairvoyance and not become a healer. I chose to become initiated into the healing arts with Reiki and practiced constantly in order to develop clairvoyance. To me, they are now inseparable. In fact, along with clairvoyance, I’ve developed other intuitive abilities including clairaudience, clairsentience, and channeling.

To help you begin, I recommend this “get started” list. Try as many as possible, and don’t give up. Also, don’t try too hard. Get out of your “thinking” mind and into the dreamlike world that brings you peace.

  1. Practice yoga. The peaceful movements and body positions connect all aspects of you – body, mind, soul.
  2. Practice meditation. Some people find meditation difficult because they have trouble turning off their brains. They’re consumed with thoughts and worries. However, the more you practice, the easier it becomes. Start with a meditation minute and gradually increase the time – every day, if possible.
  3. Breathe. Become aware of your breath. Take deep breaths, shallow breaths, belly breaths, and even hold your breath. The more you become aware of your breath, the more you become involved with connecting to the feeling of meditative breathing.
  4. Take the moment. Right when you wake up (without an alarm, preferably), or just as you’re falling asleep, notice the peaceful, dreamlike messages that come through. By the way, this is a great time to ask a question. Be prepared to get an answer!
  5. Journal. Write down your dreams, coincidences, feelings, and situations that help provide “proof” that you’re intuitive.
  6. Walk in nature. Hike, dance, stroll, and lay on the grass, the beach, or the mountain. Becoming grounded is essential to developing intuition and clairvoyance.
  7. Change your mind. Be open to the possibility that you are intuitive and you can develop your clairvoyant abilities.
  8. Use healing tools. Work with crystals and essential oils. Use smudge (burn sage) and clear your space of physical junk as well as emotional garbage. When you have a clean space, both energetically and physically, you have a better place to nurture your gifts.
  9. Become attuned to Reiki. Learn the practice of Reiki. Reiki opens up your connection to Spirit and teaches you the basics of energetic self-care, chakra balancing, and hands-on-healing for others.
  10. Make a list of your ideas, wishes, good thoughts, and what you want to bring to the world. Your ideas and wishes become reality. Clairvoyance will help guide you and help you connect to your personal visions.

8 Affirmations for Balance, Health, Love and Prosperity in Your Life

The Irrefutable Rules of Personal Energy

What makes living your day worthwhile? Family? Work? Compassion toward others? A sense of purpose? If you’re struggling to find meaning in your life, it could mean, very simply, that your personal energy is out of balance.

Do you find yourself saying that things are going badly, or that you feel miserable? It’s okay to acknowledge that. However, repeating those feelings and saying those negative statements can actually become ingrained into your physical, emotional, and spiritual body. Your mind believes what you tell it. What may have been off-balance before the affirmations gradually becomes a natural part of your day.

Affirmations and Chakras

Your body’s personal energy is a magnificent matrix of spinning whirls of high frequencies that can actually be measured, sensed, and enhanced. These energies are referred to as chakras. Each chakra has a color associated with it – an actual frequency and sensation that manifests physically as well as emotionally in your body. For example, if your root chakra is weak, you may not feel safe, or you may have issues with financial security, feeling ungrounded and insecure.

Try saying these affirmations daily while visualizing the colors for each chakra.
